** Student fees and funding options **
The Advanced and Postgraduate Diplomas in Labour Law are self-funded programmes, and students are therefore required to ensure that they have adequate funding for course fees before commencing the programme. Options for funding your studies include –
- Self-funding.
- Student loans – You can apply for a student loan through any local bank.
- Fundi – Consider applying to Fundi, an education finance provider.
- Bursaries – these include employer bursaries or from a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) – see table below.
- Employer benefits / financial support:
- Bursary: Your employer may agree to pay your fees in the form of a bursary.
- Skills Development Fund: Your employer may pay your fees upfront and then claim reimbursement from the Skills Development Fund.
- SETAs – Please refer to the table below for a list of the various sectors.
- NSFAS – You can also apply for funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.
Feel free to contact us at Lschuller@uwc.ac.za if you experience any difficulties in exploring these options to help finance your studies.
